Trunki Suitcase Review And Giveaway

As a family that likes to travel, having a toddler size suitcase is really handy. So we were happy to be asked to review the Trunki ride-on suitcase.

We received Boris the Bus to review. Like all Trunkis it is made of hard plastic, with 4 wheels, handles on top and a detachable strap. Inside there is a pocket and a teddy bear seatbelt!

Boris also comes with stickers so your little one can decorate it themselves, putting the animals in the windows of the bus.

The detachable strap can be fixed to the front, so you can pull the case along. It can also be fixed across the top so you can slip it over your shoulder. I really like the fact that the Trunki has a hard shell, especially useful with a tear away toddler! It’s sturdy enough for my little one to sit on and he loves scooting himself around on it. When we were delayed in the airport, this entertained him for ages, without even having to resort to what we’d packed inside!

How Much Does A Trunki Hold?

Each Trunki suitcase has an 18 litre capacity. I’ve managed to pack all Ollie’s clothes for a week away, plus a book and a couple of toys.

When flying, we’ve taken it as hand luggage and packed it full of enough toys, snacks and magazines to keep a toddler entertained for hours.

What Colours Does Trunki Come In?

Trunki comes in a huge variety of colours and designs. From plain colours to pirate ships and buses, there’s even a Gruffalo case and a unicorn! Like Boris, some come with stickers so you can decorate it at home.

And if you really want to be unique, you can even design your own!

What Did We Think Of Trunki?

I personally love our Trunki and so does my toddler. It’s just the right size for him to ride on, fits all his things inside and he loves having a suitcase all of his own when we travel. We’ve taken it as hand luggage on flights, and it fit perfectly in the overhead storage compartment. When we went away for a week to the seaside, it fit pretty much everything Ollie needed while we were there. It’s sturdy and seems very durable. It opens from the top, so the only thing to be aware of is that you need to lay it flat when opening to avoid everything spilling out. I also love the fact that it has a 5 year guarantee. It’s definitely something we’ll be using for years to come.
