Last February I discovered I was pregnant with my first baby. I was absolutely over the moon and couldn’t wait to start getting ready for his arrival.
It was only when I started shopping that I realised how expensive babies can actually be! Shelling out for a load of new baby gear, at the same time as taking a huge drop down to maternity pay meant our monthly budget just didn’t stretch far enough.
The only way we were going to manage was to reduce our outgoings.
I’ve always loved a bargain, and over the past year I’ve found there are tons of ways to make family life cheaper.
So far I’ve managed to avoid returning to work when my maternity leave ended, so I thought I’d start a blog to share my experience and help a few more families spend a little less money and a little more time together.
